Poole Week, now in its 61st year, is one of
the oldest and most popular sailing weeks in the UK.
All at Parkstone Yacht Club cordially invite all of our old friends and new
competitors to join us for our traditional week of racing and family fun based
on the idyllic shores of Poole Harbour and Poole Bay.
Race courses are set around our large and interesting harbour, as well as
outside in Poole Bay. This year all racing will take place each afternoon from
two start lines, both sighted within easy reach from the club. Depending on
individual class preferences, competitors will sail one or two races each day
selected from a variety of formats: Olympic triangles, windward / leeward as
well as races around the harbour or out into Poole Bay. All races will start and
finish in the harbour.
After racing competitors and families can enjoy afternoon tea & cakes on the
club's veranda.
Later we all get together for daily prize giving together with drinks in the
club bar. A full programme of entertainment has been organised for the week.
